My name is Michael Montalto and I'm a portrait photographer based out of the Chicago area. I specialize in interacting with my clients to provide them an experience that yields photographs that are uniquely personal, and artistically extraordinary. Because my clients have such a wide variety of needs and personalities, I have studied a wide range of techniques. Ranging from headshots, to classic portraiture, to fashion, to beauty, to candid work. I am also very interested in doing commercial photography and am working towards doing more of those types of projects. The bottom line for me is the most interesting subject to work with, are people.

I've been honing my craft for just over five years and have recently had the pleasure of working with the cast of the former NBC television show "The Playboy Club".

I am very good at giving direction, and leading my clients to the desired result. I love to provide a fun, informative, and comfortable atmosphere to my clients. I am absolutely passionate about photography and am very lucky to have found out God's purpose for me on this Earth.

I recently had the distinct honor of being notified that my work will be published in the National Alopecia Areata Foundation's national newsletter. I believe that it is my responsibility and privilege to give back to my community in any way that it is feasible for me to do so. This is why I make it a goal for my studio to do a minimum of four charity events per year.

I am a certified professional photographer having recently completed JJC's photography program. I have completed over 120 hours of photography coursework from photographers such as Zack Arias, Tamara Lackey, Jasmine Star, Jeremy Cowart and many others. I believe that education is a life long journey and never stops! If I'm not working on a project, you can guarantee I am trying to learn something new!

I have the honor being being a father of two very handsome sons, Kyle & Luke. It is for them that I remind myself every day to do what I love, in the hope that they will as well.

I do this because I am most at peace when I'm behind the camera & it is my belief that we are closest to God, when we create....
